ELLEN UNDERWOOD
Having a child on the autism Spectrum has expanded my understanding of neurodiversity and taught me so much about different ways of seeing and interpreting the world. I’ve learned so much about myself as well. Everyday I learn something new from my son my life is so much richer.
If I have free time you’ll find me in nature. Combing mountains, jumping in the sea touring gardens that is where I thrive. I love to travel and explore the world. I studied ceramics and landscape architecture and have so much passion for the arts and music.
Show Notes
In commemoration of Mother’s Day, Barry and Dave speak with two mothers at very different points of their journeys, 1 ½ years and 34 years following their son’s diagnoses. They share challenges and successes they have experienced, what they have learned, and advice they would give to other mothers and parents.
